In Luetun ymmärtäminen 1, which prepares you for the intermediate YKI test, you get to practice your reading comprehension skills by reading different types of texts on a variety of topics, and completing related reading comprehension exercises. You will also increase your vocabulary by doing separate vocabulary-based exercises. In addition, you will also receive tips for how to read a text in a foreign language.

The course lasts approximately 60 minutes and covers the following types of texts:

The self-study material includes 14 reading comprehension exercises, 3 vocabulary exercises and 1 text with tips for reading a text in a foreign language.
